Cam is a 7th generation native Texan. Though originally from the land of oil and tumbleweeds (aka Midland, TX), he has called Austin home since 2010. Cam is a United Methodist minister who has pastored several congregations in western and central Texas and currently serves as a hospital chaplain. He received his Masters of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and is also a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University. Listed among the great loves of Cam’s life are chocolate cake, Mexican food, and swimming pools. When he’s not engaged in a home improvement project, Cam spends his time pursuing musical interests, enjoying good food, and watching cheesy horror flicks.

Cam’s favorite part of this work is hearing your stories and helping you articulate where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to be into a meaningful ritual. With an extensive background in preaching, presiding, and even performance, Cam will bring the quality and expertise that your ceremony deserves.

Cam is also available for (and encourages!) pre-marital consultation sessions. While he is not a licensed therapist, he holds a graduate degree in family psychology and is trained in pastoral care and counseling. Cam uses his education and experience to help you explore your family story and your values and examine how they inform your upcoming marital relationship. Ask Cam for more details.
