Wedding Couples Comments
From Julie in Austin
After 3+ years together, the day had finally arrived. Our wedding day. So many people get caught up in the details of a wedding that they lose sight of the meaning. We wouldn’t let this happen to us. Yes, we had spent time preparing for the wedding, buying a beautiful dress, fitting Daniel and my son in beautiful suits with coordinating ties, selecting the flowers, perfect shoes and jewelry, etc. But on that special day, we decided to slow things down and take time to truly celebrate our love.
The weather was perfect; 83 degrees with beautiful blue skies. We knew the sun would be setting just as we said “I do” and knew that the sky would be so brilliant. We took care to select the perfect setting months before, visiting that 12th hole of the golf course (recommended by the staff at the resort) often, gazing into each other’s eyes, knowing this would be the place that our lives would begin together.
We took care to love each other that day, all day long. The details had been worked out. It was time to enjoy the day with love and laughter. The photographers arrived as planned for some early pictures. Then Sarah arrived, all smiles, and there was such joy between all of us. We rode in golf carts to our location. Sarah made us laugh which really helped with any last minute nervousness. I remember commenting to my son, “Our preacher is so cool”.

During the ceremony, I was so engaged and so enthralled with Daniel. We couldn’t keep our eyes off of each other as our hearts melded together and we were truly united. Those beautiful blue eyes captured my heart three years ago and now again today. We each recited our personally-written vows to each other as tears filled our eyes. Everything was so perfect. And it wasn’t because of the perfect dress, shoes, jewelry, suit, flowers, etc. It was because we purposefully celebrated our love, enjoyed each other, and reveled in the wonder and joy of that day. Thank you Sarah for being a part of something that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Sam, your work at our daughter’s wedding was wonderful. I especially liked the way you were able to work so well with the local minister, which prevented any surprises at the time of the service.
And of course, you went way out of your way to be there and perform the renewal ceremony for Dawna and me on the Alaskan cruise. Your efforts to learn more about our lives together and personalize the ceremony were appreciated. It is not easy to find a person who will make the additional effort to learn about the people for whom
they are performing such a ceremony.

Because of Sam we will never forget September 3, 2005. His attention
to our desires was evident in every aspect of the wedding planning
process, from pre-marriage counseling to the specific details of our
ceremony. Furthermore, when the rain began to fall literally minutes
before the ceremony was to begin Sam was never phased. He helped move
furniture, decorations, and grandparents out of harms way and then
presided over an amazing service, complete with perfectly punctuated
thunder that still makes our skin tingle.

Thank you so much for marrying us. It was a beautiful ceremony. Everyone said they loved the ceremony and vows. We were both very moved during the ceremony and felt so in love. Thank you for all you did to make us feel comfortable. We are so happy with everything about our wedding. But, we are especially grateful we found you. You are the best!

Sarah was a real find. We were looking for someone that was non-denominational, as my husband and I are both non-practicing people. I found Sarah through some web searching, and we set up an appointment. We did not interview anyone else. She was exactly what we were looking for. And, she put up with my husband's joking around.
Sarah was great during the rehearsal. She was funny and fun to work with. And, the day of the wedding, the ceremony was perfect. Working with Sarah was so easy. I never once worried about the ceremony. She had an excellent selection of things she could say during the ceremony and she let us piece it together to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. I can’t say enough good things about Sarah. I highly recommend her for any ceremony—whether it be religious or spiritual or your own words.
